ANKARA: Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu hailed a “day of victory” after his ruling party regained its parliamentary majority in Sunday’s vote.

“Today is a day of victory,” a smiling Davutoglu told a crowd of supporters in central Anatolian city of Konya, his hometown. “The victory belongs to the people.” -AFP
