SRI AMAN: Thirty-five students attended a badminton clinic held at Dewan Badminton, Balai Polis, yesterday, with 22 from secondary schools and 13 from primary schools.

Jointly organised by Sri Aman Badminton Association and Sri Aman Resident Office, SABA chairman Zapar Sepawi said the participants came from SMK Simanggang, Saints Luke, SMK Sri Aman, SK Agama Sri Aman, SK Abang Aing and SJK Chung Hua Simanggang.

He said the objective of the clinic was to unearth young talents.

“We need new talents in badminton because it is a popular sport amongst Sri Aman folk. We also need new talents to feature in competitions at division, district and state levels,” he said, hoping clinics will be held more frequently. The clinic was closed by Sri Aman Resident Office Social Unit administrator Al Salim. Also present was Sri Aman district police chief DSP Mat Jusoh Mohamad.
