BATULICIN, South Kalimantan: The Tanah Bumbu taps water company (PDAM) distributes clean water to residents of sub-districts of Simpang Empat, Batulicin and Karang Bintang for free, Antaranews reported.

“The distribution of the water is directed specifically to the taps customer in sub-districts which taps installation is under repair,” said Director of PDAM Tanah Bumbu Sobari through the Head of the Technical Adriansyah in Batulicin Monday.

He said, in addition to distributing the water to its customers, taps also distributed to residents who have not subscribed.

“People who you want to accept the water, then only provide drum placed in front of each house, so that workers who distribute clean water can immediately fill the empty drum,” he said.

Each family get a ration of 200 to 400 liters of clean water in one day.

Meanwhile, Water Processing Installation (IPA) Kodeco lines that connect to the majority of customers in the Simpang Empatwill be relocated to the IPA Sarigadung track.

“We do relocation because Kodeco reservoirs that are rainfed undergo drying in the dry season, so that water flow is insufficient until the arrival of the rainy season,” he said.

PDAM has prepared two cars with a size of 5,000 liter tanks to distribute clean water to residents and customers during the relocation of water installations.
