BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: A recent friendly with the host’s Under-17 side served as a reinforcement to Runnie FC Limbang, says manager Harun Bungsu.

The Sarawak team drew 2-2 with Brunei U-17 School Football Team during the weekend meet.

This match, held outside Limbang, is a new experience for my boys. We get to assess our game on a different pitch.

“It’s definitely a new experience,” said Harun in a statement yesterday.

He also believed that the Brunei outing would boost the morale of his players, who are coached under Japar Osman, towards securing a spot in Sarawak’s Premier league.

For the hosting side, the encounter with their Limbang counterparts served as a prelude to their preparation for the seventh Asean School Games 2015, to be hosted here from No 21 to 29.
