Sabah state assembly observes one minute’s silence in remembrance of Bernard Then

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah State Legislative Assembly sitting today observed a minute’s silence as a remembrance to Bernard Then Ted Fen, the kidnap victim who was beheaded by the Abu Sayyaf militants, last Tuesday.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman called on all Assemblymen to join in observing the meditation, before beginning the sitting to table the Supply Bill 2016.

Then, 39, an electrical engineer from Sarawak, was reported to have been beheaded at about 4pm, last Tuesday, at the Abu Sayyaf remote stronghold in Jolo, Sulu Province, about 1,400km south of Manila.-Bernama
