One killed in Basirih pileup

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: Pileup occurred at Jalan Gubernur Soebarjo, South Banjarmasin, killing one lane markings worker, AntaranewsKalsel reported.

“The pileup involved a motorcycle and three trucks,” said Head of the Traffic Police AKP Tuschad Sik in Banjarmasin on Saturday.

He said the accident that occurred on Saturday morning around 10:30 at Jalan Gubernur Soebarjo right near the GS warehouse PT Torch.

Due to brake free the truck rammed Mitsubishi yellow truck DA 1065 AJ in front of it. Then again it hit a black Suzuki Shogun motorcycle DA 4544 PB on the right side.

Furthermore, the Fuso truck crashed into another Suzuki Carry pick up white color plate number W 9484 NK that was parked on the left side of the road and in the car there was a man who was stirring paint for road marking.

The worker in the pickup truck was killed instantly at the scene and evacuated to Ulin General Hospital morgue.

Tuschad said the victim who died was identified as Ichwan (48), resident of Jalan Dusun, South Kemlagi, RT02 Rw01 Kemlagi village, Kemlagi sub-district. Mojokerto, East Java.

The case of a traffic accident which resulted one fatality was handled by Banjarmasin Traffic Police and still in the investigation process.
