KOTA KINABALU: A hair salon assistant sustained chest and hand injuries when she was allegedly attacked by her husband with a weapon in front of her workplace at Karamunsing Complex here yesterday morning.

The 36-year-old victim, however, is reported to be in stable condition and is receiving treatment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital II.

The 10.20am incident was said to have happened during an argument between the husband and wife after he accused her of having an affair with a man.

The argument was witnessed by patrons and went out of control when the man stabbed the woman with a knife on her chest before he fled the scene.

The woman was immediately rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.
