The illegal soil dredging and transferring activity at Permyjaya area.
MIRI: The enforcement unit of Land and Survey (L&S) Department crippled an illegal soil dredging and transferring activity at Permyjaya area at around 12.30pm on Wednesday.
According to a press statement released by the department, three heavy equipment were seized as exhibits during the operation.
The illegal activity was detected following ground intelligence gathering by the enforcement unit.
The case is investigated under Section 32A of the State Land Code (Chapter 81).
In view of that, the L&S Department reminded members of the public wishing to conduct soil dredging or transferring activities to seek advice from its nearest office to avoid enforcement action.
At the same time, the department called on the public to inform it of any illegal soil dredging activity conducted in their area by calling its headquarters at 082-444111.
