KUALA LUMPUR: The government has not set any deadline for completion of the investigation on 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Nancy Shukri.
She said the investigation by the special task force (STF) on 1MDB could only be completed after the witnesses’ statements have all been recorded and the relevant documents obtained.
“Considering that there are many witnesses, and many documents to be retrieved from outside the country, a deadline has not been fixed,” she said in a written reply to Datuk Zainuddin Ismail (BN Jelebu) at the Dewan Rakyat today.
She said the outcome of the investigation would be submitted to the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC).
Zainuddin had asked about the latest status of the STF which was set up by the AGC and when would the investigation report be completed. –Bernama
