MIRI: Two salespersons in their 20s suffered multiple bruises and cuts after they were hit by a car in front of a shop in Luak Bay around 12.30pm yesterday.

The man and woman were working at a kiosk selling electronic cigarettes on the five-foot way when they were hit by a multipurpose vehicle driven by a man in his 40s.

According to eyewitness, the woman was thrown into the shop and the kiosk’s glass showcase shattered along with the shop’s glass wall.

Both victims were taken to Miri Hospital in an ambulance.

The driver of the multipurpose vehicle was not injured.
