KUALA NERUS: Former Sarawak skipper Joseph Kallang Tie says money was not a factor in his decision to rejoin Terengganu next season.

Kallang Tie, 28, when met after signing for Terengganu next season said despite having returned to his home state Sarawak, his desire to play for Terengganu had always been burning inside him.

“I know a big responsibility awaits my return to Terengganu and expectations will be high from everyone.

“But if it was just for money, I could have chosen any other team or even stayed with Sarawak.

“I decided to come to Terengganu on my own will and asked for a release from Sarawak,” he said after signing his contract at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium yesterday.

Apart from Kallang Tie, Kelantan’s Amirizdwan Taj Tajudin and Yong Kuong Yong from Penang also signed to play for Terengganu next season.
