KUCHING: Betong A defeated Miri B to carry home the Youth Under 20 Sepak Takraw Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusuf Challenge Trophy held at Sarawak Sepaktakraw Association (PSS) hall at Jalan Stadium here on Sunday.
They sealed their win in straight sets 20-14, 20-15.
The champions and runners-up claimed cash prizes of RM800 and RM600.
Samarahan A and Kuching A finished as joint third.
Nine teams competed in the two-day tournament which featured teams from Betong, Samarahan, Sibu and Miri.
Meanwhile, PSS also announced a squad of 28 boys and 13 girls who will participate in Pre-Sukma centralised training.
Prizes were presented by Fazzruddin Abdul Rahman, the political secretary to Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusuf, and PSS president Datuk Abang Khalid Marzuki.
