KOTA KINABALU: Grand Merdeka (GM) Mall is entering its final phase of construction and is expected to be substantially completed by February 2016.

The roof topping ceremony of the mall was held on February 7, 2015, followed by the ground breaking of Grand Merdeka Lot 2, namely, Grand Merdeka Home (a retail warehouse concept), and launching and ground breaking for Grand Merdeka Corp which consists of 20 blocks of signature office.

Grand Merdeka Development Sdn Bhd said in a statement that the commencement of earthwork for Grand Merdeka Lot 2 was scheduled by August 1, 2015 this year. However, the delay of construction work for Grand Merdeka Lot 2 is mainly due to delay of approval from the local authorities.
