KUCHING: Students’ club Cor Amoris of St Joseph’s Private School is touched by the warm response from the public towards the sales of tickets for a charity dinner it is organising to benefit the Kidney Association of Sarawak.

“It is our greatest honour to announce that all the tickets for the dinner have been sold. We wish to remind everyone who have purchased tickets to attend the dinner at Thian Court in Crown Square here at7 pm on Dec 29,” a press statement from the club said.

Initiated in January this year, Cor Amoris is a club set up by the students with a mission to build a world where charity is a basic human responsibility. To meet their mission, they strive to expand their projects and offerings to the community, especially to the less fortunate.

“This year has been very prosperous for us. Most of our projects have been very successful and hopefully, has brought joy to many people as well.

“Some of our more outstanding projects include our bake sale

that was held at The Spring Shopping Mall which raised RM4,850 for the Sarawak Children’s  Cancer Society and our T-shirt sales project

which has accumulated about RM16,000 so far for the victims of the Nepal earthquake,” the club said, adding that they hoped their efforts would inspire others to begin practicing charity in their lives as well.
