KUCHING: A foreign construction worker was pronounced dead upon arrival at a hospital here after he was found hanging in his shared quarters yesterday morning.

The deceased, a 22-year-old Indonesian by the name of Ahmad Khosim, was found around 9.30am by a fellow worker who had returned to their quarters at a construction site along Jalan Lapangan Terbang.

The latter immediately reported the matter to a supervisor, who then rushed Ahmad to a private medical centre after detecting a faint pulse.

The foreign worker, however, was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital and was subsequently sent to the Sarawak General Hospital mortuary for a post mortem.
