KUCHING: SLPAS FC emerged as champions in the KSK Satok football tournament after defeating Kanoli FC 1-0 in the final at Padang Jubilee yesterday.
The solitary goal was scored by Md Dzohrill Hafeeq Ismawi after a counter attack in the second half.
UFFC finished third after beating Kakula FC 6-4.
Eight teams participated in the tournament which was held every weekend since Dec 13.
Satok assemblyman Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg, who gave away the prizes, said he was ready to sponsor a team if organisers could form one to enter the Kuching League.
“What important is we need to look at the talents from Satok first and what important is also for the players to be of quality,” he added.
Also present was tournament organising chairperson Irwan Hasbi.
