KOTA KINABALU: The United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation (UPKO) is ready to assist its fellow Barisan Nasional (BN) components in Sarawak to face the next state election.

Its acting president Datuk Seri Madius Tangau said the party had already made preparations and would work with national leaders to help Sarawak BN secure a landslide victory.

“We are confident that the people would look at Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem and the BN state government’s excellent record and return the mandate to them,” he told reporters after an event in Tuaran here yesterday.

Asked for his comments on the Budget 2016 recalibration, he said it was proper, as the government had not reduced the allocation for development. — Bernama
