Identity of floating corpse revealed

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: After many days in the morgue of Ulin Banjarmasin General Hospital, eventually the identity of the body found floating in the river was revealed, AntaranewsKalsel reported.

“Thanks to the media, citizens and emergency associates that have distributed information related to finding of the body till known by relatives,” said Chief of Banjarmasin Water Police unit (satpolair) AKP Untung Widodo Sst here on Monday.

He said the disclosure of the identity of the corpse after a woman named Hadijah (80), a resident of Keramat Basirih, South Banjarmasin, came to the morgue. The old woman knew the bodynamed Yadiannor (24), a resident of Tembus Mantuil, South Banjarmasin.

“Yadiannor was a former student at the school when she taught early childhood (PAUD) Khadijatul Kubra she runs by herself,” he said.

According to Hadijah, the victims live alone and do not have blood relatives, and he was adopted.

“Because there is relatives to identify the victims so we submit the body of Yadiannor to be immediately buried,” he said.

Yadiannor found floating on the river of Sungai Teluk Mendung Mantuil precisely behind PT Austral Byna near wooden log raft on Saturday (30/1) at around 08.00.
