KAPIT: Kapit Chung Hua Kindergarten pupils received angpows and mandarin oranges on Tuesday.

Jefferson Jamit Unyat, a political secretary to the chief minister, distributed angpows to all 166 pupils.

In his speech, Jamit said Chung Hua Kindergarten has become one of the most established kindergartens here.

“As I moved around the kindergarten, I observed it has greatly improved over the years in terms of intake of pupils and facilities. The kindergarten is well equipped with experienced teachers to prepare pupils for formal education,” he said.

Jamit also announced a grant of RM5,000 from Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi’s allocation for the preschool.

Kapit Chung Hua Kindergarten has eight teachers.

Some 50 per cent of the pupils are Bumiputeras.
