Police confiscated cigarettes, submit to customs

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: South Banjarmasin Sector Police handed over a confiscated dozens of cartons of cigarettes to the Banjarmasin Customs (Bea Cukai), AntaranewsKalsel reported.
“We have coordinated with the Office of Customs to submit these confiscated goods,” said Sector Police Chief Commissioner Windy Safutra Sik in Banjarmasin on Thursday.

Among items seized were Fel Super brand cigarettes 40 boxes consisting of 16 thousand packs of cigarettes and 32 thousand pieces.

Submission to a Customs Office was done by South Banjarmasin Police Chief and symbolically accepted by the Head of Sub Section of Enforcement and Operations Support Banjarmasin Customs Office Suganda on Thursday (4/2) afternoon in the police office.

“The submission of confiscated goods for further proceedings because it is the authority of the Customs,” he said after the event.

Previously, the ranks South Banjarmasin police secured 40 boxes of cigarettes without excise at Warehousing Complex Basirih Indah at Jalan Gubernur Soebarjo, sub-district of South Banjarmasin, on Thursday (28/1) night around 23:00.

The information obtained from the public that there are cigarettes without excise transported by truck entered the complex of warehousing. After the police investigated turned right and immediately secured.
