SIBU: General Operations Force (GOF) seized 170 illegal logs and detained two Indonesian men during Ops Libas in their first operation of its kind this year.
Acting on a tip-off, the unit of 10 personnel led by ASP Juvrinh Adrian mounted a raid at Engkalat Road in Rantau Panjang about 6.30pm Thursday.
After searching the area, they found piles of logs of different sizes at two places.
They detained two foreigners in their 20s when the duo failed to produce the relevant documents.
The logs estimated to be worth RM5,000 would be sent to the Forest Department for further action.
