KUCHING: Managepay Systems Bhd’s (Managepay) 29.5 per cent associate MSC Trustgate.com Sdn Bhd (Trustgate) has received a new five-year certificate authority (CA) operating license from Malaysian Communications And Multimedia Commission (MCMC) recently.

With the renewed CA license for the period up to July 24, 2020, Managepay said Trustgate can continue its existing business offerings partnering Symantec and GlobalSign to issue secure socket layer (SSL) certificates for web domain servers, hosting Managed Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to issue digital certificates for individual subscribers of Internet banking system and government service portal.

The company explained that the five-year period enables Trustgate to provide new cyber security products and services offerings to tackle the marked increase in the number of major data breaches and cyberattacks including high-profile penetrations at major retailers and attacks on media and government websites.

Elaborating further, Managepay added the license renewal would enable Trustgate to expand its cyber security service offerings and is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings of Trustgate.

However, Managepay pointed out that those potential cyber security products and services includes but not limited to the services listed below
