LABUAN: Three road accidents here yesterday resulted in a massive traffic jam causing hundreds of motorists to get stuck, said Labuan Police chief Supt Adzhar Othman.

He said the three incidents occurred in separate locations which resulted in many employees getting late for work.

“The first incident occurred at 7am in Jalan Tun Mustapha (Jalan Kolam Junction) which involved eight vehicles.

“A 30-year-old male driver, who was driving his Toyota Rush vehicle to Ohon Batu from the town, skidded to the opposite lane before ramming into seven vehicles coming from the opposite direction.

“Luckily, there was no serious injury reported in the incident,” he said.

The second incident occurred at the Kinabenuwa Traffics at 7.30am involving two vehicles, while, the third one happened in Jalan Sungai Keling around 7.52am involving a car and a motorcycle

He said iIn the second case, the vehicle behind hit the rear side of the vehicle in front, and added that a vehicle was about to enter a junction when it crashed with another vehicle in the third accident.

There was injury reported in the second and third incidents, he said.
