KUCHING: The Islamic Information Centre (IIC) here is an ideal place to visit to learn more about Islam.
Over the years, the IIC has become a landmark institution promoting interfaith and cross cultural activities that include educational lectures and programmes that emphasise the universal values that Islam espouses, providing a platform for intellectuals and professionals to discuss and work on creative solutions to social issues.
Apart from its role as an institution of learning, the centre also caters to the needs of new Muslims by providing a hospitable and open environment that eases integration into the larger Muslim community.
One of IIC’s objectives is to promote multi-religious harmony and a better understanding of Islam and other faiths. This has been a major activity of the centre for the past seven years.
IIC will be participating in the Borneo Post International Education Fair (BPIEF) 2016 on Feb 27 and 28 at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) from 10am to 6pm.
BPIEF 2016 will feature over 80 local and international educational institutions along with many lucky draw prizes for visitors.
