MIRI: The Institution of Engineers Malaysia Miri Branch is inviting members to its annual general meeting (AGM) as well as an anniversary dinner on March 5.
Secretary Ting Nik Keat said the AGM will be held at Mega Hotel starting 12.30 pm with registration starting 11am. A buffet lunch will be served when the meeting is over.
Among the agenda of the meeting is to elect exco members for the 2016-2017 session after which a dialogue session for the exco members will follow.
“Attendance at the AGM comes with 4 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) hours and as such we invite all members to come,” said Ting yesterday.
The dinner, also to be held at Mega Hotel (starting 6.30pm), is to celebrate the IEM Miri Branch 17th anniversary and also as an activity to strengthen ties among members as well with Miri community.
Ting said Assistant Minister for Communication Datuk Lee Kim Shin has been invited to be guest-of-honour for the dinner, while IEM president Datuk Lim Chow Hock has been scheduled to attend.
He added: “Various exciting entertainments and lucky draws would be featured throughout the evening program. All are cordially invited to the dinner, and as availability of seats is limited, get your tickets early.”
