KUCHING: A mishap occurred yesterday (Feb 21) at VivaCity Megamall here when the roof extension over the outdoor sitting area of a popular coffee chain collapsed.
No report of personal injury was lodged. It was said that the incident happened at night and after customers had left.
Pictures of the alleged collapsed portion also made its rounds on social media today, attracting hundreds of comments from users online, many of which were quite vocal with their opinions on what had transpired.
According to the mall’s management, contractors have been engaged to repair the damages to the portion which collapsed.
