KOTA BHARU: Sarawak are finding their rhythm as they defied Kelantan with a 2-2 draw in a Super League match at the Sultan Mohammad IV Stadium in Kota Bharu on Friday.

Makeche Ndumba was man of the match for Sarawak as they took the lead in the eighth minute through the import player from Australia.

Kelantan then equalised the score through its import striker from Macedonia, Blaze Ilijoski, in the 43rd minute, who netted the cross from Jonathan Lucca.

In the second half, Ilijoski completed a brace in the 63rd minute by brilliantly netting in a pass from midfielder Wan Zack Haikal Wan Nor, catching Sarawak goalkeeper Mohd Iqbal Suhaimi by surprise.

However, The Red Warriors’ joy was short-lived when Sarawak equalised eight minutes later through Ndumba.

Kelantan coached by K Devan, and Sarawak, coached by former national coach Datuk K. Rajagobal failed to score until the final whistle, hence sharing a point from the match which ended 2-2. — Bernama
