IPOH: The Finance Ministry has allocated RM1.1 million for repair works of the Ulu Kinta General Operations Force Training Centre (PLPGA) building, said Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah.

He said the allocation included RM800,000 for the repair of four blocks of police quarters and the remainder would be used to repair the Police Family Association office buildings.

“We are aware of their role in protecting the country and hopefully this allocation can help this training centre in carrying out more activities.

“This building has turned dilapidated and needs to be repaired,” he told reporters after a working visit to the Ulu Kinta PLPGA and handing over the allocation to the PLPGA commander Supt Rosli Abas, here yesterday.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Husni also spent some time visiting preacher Datuk Mohd Kazim Elias who was receiving treatment for heart ailment at a private hospital here.

Mohd Kazim’s brother Datuk Mohd Najmuddin Elias said the preacher was discharged from the hospital at 12pm. — Bernama
