MIRI: The Miri Warrior Hockey Club (WHC) has entered one men’s team and one women’s team to compete in a hockey nine-a-side organised by Weston Hockey Club in Beaufort, Sabah, on Saturday (March 26).

Said Miri hockey coach Rudy Naziri, “I hope our women team can make it to the final. This is the first time we are participating in the open tournament, as previously we only played in their Under-16 tourney.”

He said most of WHC players are aged between 14 to 16 years old with Charlena Lawing and Maswaja George for experience. As all the players are from Kolej Tun Datu Tuanku Haji Bujang (KTDTHB), he thanked principal Hashimah Abg Zen and teacher Muhd Handi for their full support.
