LIMBANG: The state Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Youth Armada in a statewide tour since April 2 is confident of helping the Barisan Nasional (BN) win a big majority in the coming state election.

It’s Youth vice-chief Ripin Lamat said there was positive feedback from their programme since it was launched in Kuching by PBB Youth chief Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

From Kuching it covered Samarahan, Serian, Sri Aman, Betong, Saratok, Mukah, Sarikei, Machan, Sibu, Bintulu, Jepak, Kemena, Miri and Limbang before ending in Lawas today.

“From these positive feedbacks we are determined and confident of not only ensuring a big mandate for BN and Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem but also meeting our mission to reclaim lost seats,” he told PBB Youth Armada with youth wings of Bukit Kota and Batu Danau constituencies at Dewan Suarah, Limbang yesterday.

Among those present were Bukit Kota assemblyman Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail, Batu Danau assemblyman Paulus Palu Gumbang and youth chiefs for Bukit Kota, Councillor Sufian Mohat and Batu Danau, Elvis Mathew Bungsu.

Ripin who is also Lambir assemblyman said PBB and other youth wings of BN component parties were ready for the election including countering issues raised by opposition political parties to run down the BN Government.

“We are working as a team with other BN component parties to consolidate efforts in promoting the BN agenda of winning the election to continue bringing development to the people and state,” he stressed.

Among the activities organised by the Youth Armada were community and welfare programmes.

Earlier in his speech, Dr Abdul Rahman reminded PBB Youth that they had an important role to ensure continuity of development and peace in the state and country.

“Our leaders place high hopes in us, the youths and our chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem want us to be part of the team in winning the election. Subsequently we are to take over from them in developing Sarawak and the country as a whole,” he said.
