SIBU: National Service trainees at Junaco Camp should make full use of their time at the camp to learn as much as possible.

Giving the advice was Ninth Infantry Brigade Commander Brigadier General Abdul Rahim Sebeli when he addressed the new batch of trainees yesterday.

He told them experience and knowledge acquired during training would stand them in good stead when they enter society.

“The programme will be held in two phases, with the first phase to be held for two months at the camp and the second phase will be six months at a public skills training institution,” he pointed out.

Abdul Rahim also said the government was serious about grooming young people into useful citizens who could face challenges in life.

He stressed the importance of knowledge, health of mind and body, living skills, national integration and racial unity.
