Disabled child abducted by Indonesian woman found

KUALA LUMPUR: A disabled child who was believed to have been abducted by an Indonesian woman in SS19, Subang Jaya was found in Jalan Pantai Baharu here tonight.

Subang Jaya police chief ACP Mohamad Azlin Sadari said the girl was found by Ar-Rahman mosque members after she was reported missing for more than 16 hours.

“The suspect, who was with the victim, was detained near the mosque at 9.30 pm,” he said when contacted by Bernama here.

The 11-year-old girl was discovered missing by her sister at about 5am this morning.

Earlier, the suspect in her 20s who claimed to be from Sumatra, Indonesia, was brought to the victim’s home when she was found loitering near a bus stop opposite the Subang Parade shopping centre.

However, the victim’s father, who had earlier promised to take the suspect to the Indonesia Embassy discovered the suspect had disappeared with the victim.

News on the missing victim went viral and was the talk among netizens on Facebook when her aunt uploaded the victim’s image and status on the disappearance.– BERNAMA
