KAPIT: A complete Barisan Nasional team (BN) for all the constituencies in Kapit would ensure a better future for the division.

BN candidate for Bukit Goram Jefferson Jamit Unyat said a complete BN team at state-level would be able to work well with Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi, who is Kapit Member of Parliament, and Hulu Rajang Member of Parliament Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong.

The other BN candidates for the division are Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing (Baleh), Liwan Lagang (Belaga), Datuk Ambrose Blikau Entulan (Katibas) and Wilson Nyabong Ijang (Pelagus).

“We will be able to cooperate to plan and work towards what is the best for us in Kapit Division,” Jamit said at a leader with the people event organised by the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Bukit Goram pro tem committee.

He pointed out that the majority of Sarawakians supported Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem’s good governance and his defence of all Sarawakians as Anak Sarawak.

“Since he became Chief Minister of Sarawak on 28 February, 2014, Datuk Patinggi Adenan has introduced 53 points that Sarawakians all these years have fought for,” he said.

Jamit called on all voters to ensure they give their undivided support to Team Adenan.

“People in Kapit are no exception. We support his Go Rural policy. In 2015 and 2016, RM1 billion has been allocated to expedite rural development to catch up with the advanced urban centres like Kuching and Sibu.

“Don’t say Kapit has no development. The past five years there have been many big projects being implemented here. The ongoing RM800 million road construction for Kapit/Song/Kanowit, recently completed RM77 million Baleh Bridge, ongoing RM170 million road construction for Belaga/Nanga Merit/Nanga Tulit, and coming up the RM35 million Mujong Bridge,” he stressed.
