KUCHING: Richard Wee Liang Chiat and Voon Soon Liong were returned unopposed as the president and chairman of the Kuching Division Basketball Association respectively during its annual general meeting recently.

Also retained was honorary president Wong Tiong Hock while Michael Teo with Kok Hin Kai are the advisors.

Honorary chairmen are Lee Boon Yuin, Ng Peng Seng, Lau Ying Hao, See Kian Seng, Wee Pong Cho, Lim Soon Chiang, Lim Ka Kuan, Sim Siang Boon, Ho Chin Shin.

Vice presidents are Datuk Yii Chi Hau, Datuk Vincent Sim, Datuk Lee Chi Fui, Simon Wong, Leong Nyuk On, Aaron Tay Kok Tung, Tan Kun Gee and Aaron Toh Chee Ching while the vice chairmen are Peter Ho Ching Hin, Wilson Tan Swee Kwang, Teo Keng Guan and Lee Chee Beng.

Lim Chung Hong is the new secretary and he is assisted by Chin Tzin Shien, Lim Wui Kit, Hoon Ting Cheng and executive secretary Chai Chang Yu.

Narrissa Tay was elected as treasurer with Ting Siong Sing as the assistant.

Chairpersons of the various sub-committees are Wilson Ho (Technical), John Lee Chee Yong (Referees), Chai Tze Kiong (Coaching/Selection), Thian Cha Vu (Competition), Ng Voon Kuet (Recording), Bong Hon Fah (Children basketball), Liu Thaw Yih (Development), Lim Chung Hong (3-On-3), Mohamad Faezal Mohamad Zailon (Non-Chinese basketball), Tweedee Bong Kian Koon (Team management), Hu Gui Xiang (Publicity) and Chang Lee Kui (Competition venue).

Meanwhile, KDBA will be conducting a three-day training cum selection trial from April 22-24 to form a team to represent Kuching in the Sarawak U17 and Men’s/Women’s Open Basketball Championship which will take place in Sibu from April 29 to May 1.
