PKR’s five promises declaration for the 11th state election.

KUCHING: PKR Sarawak today (April 26) launched its declaration for the 11th state election comprising five promises for the people of the state.

The declaration was drafted based on the needs and feedback from the people in the state.

State PKR vice secretary Lynette Tan said the document addresses the issues confronting the people in both urban and rural areas of Sarawak, ranging from the high cost of living, economic equality, infrastructure development, land rights, education, healthcare and the preservation of the environment, among others.

The five promises of PKR include:

1. Reducing the cost of living of the people by abolishing the six per cent GST implemented by BN and bring about economic justice for all
2. Building infrastructure on a par with Peninsular Malaysia in Sarawak including roads, railways, electricity supply, hospitals, universities, etc.
3. Restoring NCR land to the rightful people of Sarawak by bringing such cases to court
4. Restoring autonomy of Sarawak as per the Malaysia Agreement and delivering 20 per cent petroleum royalty
5. Bringing about changes with Pakatan Harapan to have what has been implemented in Selangor and Penang, which are clean, fighting against corruption and striving for to bring justice for all
