KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the National Transformation Programme (NTP), which is in its fifth year of implementation, demonstrated the country’s achievements in the face of global economic volatility.

He said the Government Transformation Programme (GTP), from the aspect of the National Key Result Areas (NKRAs), had achieved 99 per cent of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), while the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) under the National Key Economic Areas (NKEAs) attained 111 per cent of the KPIs.

Speaking at the launch of the National Transformation Programme Report 2015 here last night, he said through the Strategic Reform Initiative, 108 per cent of the KPIs had been achieved.

The prime minister said since the outset of the NTP, Malaysia managed to break the walls of impossibility from the aspect of government delivery system to the people and attain figures and economic performance by making a big shift from ‘being’ to ‘doing’.

“Thank God, I recently completed my seven-year tenure helming the government administration as prime minister together with the deputy prime minister and Cabinet ministers, and members of the administration by the will of God.

“… through the National Transformation Policy or DTN, this Government has been successful in crafting Malaysia’s economic strategy and as I said a few weeks ago, we can say with certainty, that our transformation plan is working and we are delivering,” he said.
