Police found the missing man four hours after he left home to dispose of garbage.

SIBU: A man from Engkilili who came to stay in Sibu for a fortnight went missing for four hours yesterday morning.

The 50-plus had left his house at Hardin Road to throw household garbage but failed to find his way home.

The man staying with his son and daughter-in-law was helping out with household chores when he left the flat at 6.30am yesterday.

When his daughter-in-law did not see him returning, she went out looking for him. She lodged a police report when her efforts proved futile.

Four hours later, a police mobile car found the man near Mantis Toad Road, about 3km away.

They sent him to the police station and called his family members.

His daughter took him home.

They stopped them and found some Ice on them.

Urine tests confirmed their drug-taking.

Police said two of them had criminal records.

They were remanded for four days for investigation yesterday.
