Water project and hardcore poor housing schemes approved for Bekenu and Lambir: Najib

BEKENU : Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak announced the approval of three projects for the Bekenu and Lambir constituencies today (Apr 30).

The first approval by the federal government was a RM 94.8 million water project for Bekenu while the other two were hardcore poor housing schemes (PPRT) for both Bekenu and Lambir costing RM1.5 million each.

The water project in Bekenu to commence after the middle of the year will cover Kampung Lajong, Kuala Niah as well as Rumah Mandau and Rumah Ngayum.

He announced them during the launching of Bekenu Rural Transformation Centre this afternoon.
