MARUDI: Loyal supporters of SPDP candidate for Marudi Datu Dr Penguang Manggil and Datuk Sylvester Entri Muran have been called on to forget their past feuds to ensure Penguang wins big in tomorrow’s polls.
In making this call, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said both Penguang and Entri were under the same umbrella, which is Barisan Nasional (BN) and thus the focus of all including their supporters must be on winning the seat for BN.
“Whoever is being picked, we must give our 100 per cent support. Penguang has been picked by Chief Minister (CM) Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem.
“I know that Sylvester (Entri) has his own supporters. Every leader has their own loyal supporters and followers. And his (Entri) supporters must be disheartened by the selection but Entri has accepted Adenan’s decision and is present today to give his support to Penguang,” Zahid said when officiating a get-together session with Baram People’s Volunteer Corps (RELA) at Marudi Civic Centre here earlier today.
Zahid then called Penguang and Entri on stage to hug each other to show that both have made peace and that their supporters should do the same.
