MIRI: Barisan Nasional (BN) Ripin Lamat retained his seat N72 Lambir with a bigger majority of 4,907 votes compared to 1, 521 obtained during the last state election in 2011.
It is the second term for Ripin, who secured a total of 7,503 votes while Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Mohdar Ismail gained 2,596 votes, and Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS), Mohd Arifiriazul Paijo secured 829 votes.
The percentage of voters turn out was 63.6 percent while there were 205 spoilt votes.
