KUCHING: Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem was sworn last night as Sarawak Chief Minister before Yang Di-Pertua Negeri Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud.

The swearing-in took place at the Astana in a ceremony that began at 10pm. Adenan was accompanied by his wife Datin Patinggi Datuk Jamilah Anu.

Also present at the swearing-in was Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. Adenan is also Tanjung Datu assemblyman.
