6.44 inch Mi Max launched: Features a massive 4850 mAh battery!

Xiaomi has unveiled the company’s first 6.44 inch size smartphone called Mi Max in conjunction with the introduction of its new MIUI 8 ROM in China.

As we have already known earlier, the Xiaomi Mi Max features a large sized full-HD screen with 342ppi pixel density.

It offers a full metal unibody and only measures in 7.5mm body depth which is considered thin for its size. Its body measurement is 173.1 x 88.3 x 7.5mm and weighs 203 grams. It is powered by a 4,850 mAh size battery that comes with fast charging technology.

Internally, the device comes in two types of SoC: Snapdragon 650 SoC for the 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM model, while Snapdragon 652 SoC for 3GB RAM and 64GB ROM model or 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM variant.

On the camera department, it is equipped with a 16-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera with phase detection autofocus and LED flash. On the front, it is coupled with a 5-megapixel snapper with 85-degree wide-angle view, and a f/2.0 aperture.

It is worth mentioning that this new Xiaomi phablet smartphone also comes with a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel. It will be running MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

There’s also dual SIM card slots on board in which it supports 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GPS with Glonass, and Wi-Fi 802.11ac with Mimo for connectivity.

Apart from that, it also features infrared emitter to act as a universal remote control, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer, and proximity sensor etc.

The Mi Max will be available in Dark Grey, Gold, and Silver colour choices. Here are the price for the three models of Xiaomi Mi Max:

Snapdragon 650+3GB RAM+32GB ROM = CNY1,499 (approx. RM931)
Snapdragon 652+4GB RAM+64GB ROM = CNY1,699 (approx. RM1,055)
Snapdragon 652+4GB RAM+128GB ROM = CNY1,999 (approx. RM1,241)

The Mi Max will be officially available in China on May 17.
