Honor V8 officially launched

Huawei has teased about the Honor V8 last month, and now the V8 has finally made its official launch in China.

On its exterior build, the Honor V8 adopts an all metal design. Under the hood, it is powered by Kirin 950 Octa-core processor, 5.7 inch Full HD Display and a Dual 12MP f/2.2 rear camera supported by dual LED flash and laser autofocus. Honor V8 will come in TWO version of RAM and ROM which include 4GB RAM/32GB ROM and 4GB RAM/64GB ROM. There’s also a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

For the front camera, there will be a 8MP f/2.4 snapper. In terms of the software and battery, it will run the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the latest EMUI 4.1 atop and packed with a 3,500 mAh size battery that supports 9V/2A fast charging. Similar to most Huawei devices, its fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear panel as well.

The V8 provides dual SIM card slots that supports 4G+ and VoLTE. Connectivity wise, it offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, NFC, GPS/A-GPS, USB Type-C port. It also features Huawei’s own virtual payment system “Huawei Pay.”

The device measures 157 x 77.60 x 7.75 mm and weighing in at 170 grams. In addition, Honor 7’s smart key is also inherited by the Honor V8 with the Smart Key 2.0 with more features to play around. Not to forget, it also comes with IR blaster too.
