KUCHING: An analysis or a post-mortem needs to be carried out in areas the Barisan Nasional (BN) has won but with slim majority in the just-concluded 11th state election.

In pointing this out, Dalat assemblywoman Datuk Fatimah Abdullah said this will enable BN to know the factors that contributed to the slim majority, especially seats under Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB).

Fatimah, who is also the PBB Women deputy chief, said once they have identified the factors, they need to make preparation for the 14th parliamentary election.

“We need to find out what contributed to the slim majority, what are the issues they are facing, and is it the strategy or the machinery factor?

“We are going to face the parliamentary election and the opposition will go all out. It is important we do preparation from now because the opposition will go all out and that election will determine who will become the government at federal level,” she told reporters after launching the SATT College 12th Convocation yesterday.
