MIRI: Authorised Toyota dealers here, UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd and Rimbunan Hijau Auto Services Sdn Bhd, launched the new Toyota Hilux 2.4 and 2.8 variants yesterday.
In connection with the new launch, UMW Toyota Motor started a three-day showroom event yesterday.
Test drives are available upon request at the Jalan Krokop showroom and door gifts are available for those who register at the counter.
The new Hilux variants are packed with a host of new features such as vehicle stability control, hill assist as well as new engines at value-for-money prices.
UMW Toyota Motor president Datuk Ismet Suki said the new generation Hilux has been developed with drivers in mind, featuring more passenger car-like features and a more comfortable ride.
“It continues the evolution of Hilux, its legendary qualities and capabilities at the same time offers a new powertrain with better performance and added safety features comparable to many modern cars,” he said in a press statement.
Ismet said UMW Toyota Motor began taking orders on April 1 and has received more than 3,000 bookings.
