Executed convict Jabing laid to rest in Muslim cemetery

MIRI: The coffin carrying the remains of executed convict Jabing Kho arrived at Mascargo here at 4pm yesterday and was later buried at the Kuala Batu 1, Kuala Baram Muslim cemetery.

About 50 relatives gathered at the Mascargo’s compound as early as 3.30pm to receive the remains, including Jabing’s mother Lenok Baling.

Lenok was seen holding back her tears upon seeing the casket being carried into the funeral vehicle. The casket was immediately taken to Ar-Arryan Mosque Permyjaya for prayers before the burial ceremony.

Jabing had converted to Islam while in prison and had chosen Muhammad as his muslim name.

He was hanged in Singapore prison at 3.30pm on Friday.

The 32 year-old Jabing was sentenced to death in 2010 for the murder of a Chinese construction worker.
