Sjamsudin Noor expansion in auction process

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I Banjarmasin Branch Handy Heryudhitiawan said, the expansion plan of Sjamsudin Noor Airport is now in the auction process, AntaranewsKalsel reported.

“God willing explanation of the work in the field (site aanwijzing) packages II to the auction participants of Sjamsudin Noor expansion will be in the end of May,” he said after a meeting with Deputy Chairman of South Kalimantan Legislative Council (DPRD) H Muhaimin in Banjarmasin on Tuesday.

But he did not mention the auction participants, except to say the determination of the winning bidder will be in August.

Regarding small portion of land that has not been released, he stated, it will not be a hindrance to the implementation of the airport expansion that has been waited a longtime.

“In the implementation of the construction, we got assistance from the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) and the Development Finance Comptroller (BPKP),” he said accompanied by the project executor Uke.

The implementation of the package II, which included the construction of apron as well as other supporting facilities and infrastructure worth about Rp900 billion, due no later than October 2016.

While the package I which covers the construction of terminal and supporting facilities in the main building of Sjamsudin Noor with a value of about Rp1.3 trillion will start the auction process in August and the implementation in December.

“There is a good news that the expansion of Sjamsudin Noor is included in the national strategic program (PSN) in the reign of President Joko Widodo,” he said, accompanied by Chairman of Commission III of the DPRD H Bardiansyah.

“What’s PSN sign? That means the attention of the central government is quite high toward Sjamsudin Noor Airport,” said Handy Heryudhitiawan.
