PUTRAJAYA: Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah yesterday launched the Putrajaya Royal Flower and Park Festival (Floria Diraja Putrajaya) 2016 at Pesisiran Tasik, Precinct 4 here.

She also spent about an hour visiting the booths at the exhibition at the parks organised by the Putrajaya Corporation with the support of the Federal Territories Ministry, Tourism and Culture Ministry, as well as Tourism Malaysia.

Also present at the launch was Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Utama Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor and PPj president Datuk Seri Hasim Ismail.

The festival this year drew participation from 21 international floral designers from 11 countries as well as five local park designers from the Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia.

The new attractions to the 9th floral festival were the Mystic Jungle, the Chrysanthemum Park, the Mermaid World, the Sweets Park, Bonsai, the Cats Park and a terrarium workshop.

The Floria Diraja Putrajaya will be open to the public from today until June 4 from 9am until 10.30pm on Monday until Thursday and from 9am until midnight on Friday until Sunday. — Bernama
