Banjarbaru-Bandung collaborate to develop creative economy

BANJARBARU, South Kalimantan: The City Government of Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, ready to collaborate with the Government of Bandung, West Java, in the development of creative economy, AntaranewsKalsel reported.

The City Government First Assistant on Government M Aswan on Saturday said it had communicated to the ranks of the Bandung municipal government related to cooperation.

“Communication has been done remotely via video conference and related offices of the Bandung municipal government is ready to come to realize that cooperation,” he said.

He said, the product of the creative economy will be focus on airguci and sasirangan embroidery which are local product and typical of Banjarbaru. Through the cooperation, airguci and sasirangan embroidery are expected to be better known and selling price increase.

“We hope that local products such as airguci and sasirangan embroidery became better known outside the region, especially in the city of Bandung, so the price can be higher,” he said.

According to him, the cooperation with the Bandung municipal government is a follow up visit of the municipal government Banjarbaru to the government led the Mayor Ridwan Kamil.

Earlier, at a meeting in Bandung both agreed on cooperation in electronic government to establish a system of good, clean and transparent governance.

“The agreement inspiring information data and transparent media communication providing through e-Government so that both areas easily communicate,” he said.

E-Government is the use of information technology by the government in order to provide information and services to the entire community. Moreover, “e-gov” is the process of using information technology as a tool to help run the government system more efficiently.
