SEB implements initiatives to engage local communities

SIBU: Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) will continue to implement initiatives to assist the various communities in Sarawak.

SEB ‘s Regional Manager for Central Region Peridah Samawi cited as examples, its religious and welfare programmes which have and would continue to be undertaken for the purpose of bringing SEB closer to the local community.

She gave this assurance at a “Majlis Berbuka Puasa Bersama SEB” held at RH Hotel here on Saturday.

She disclosed that for the breaking-of-fast during the month of Ramadan, several community programmes have been in place by SEB towards engaging the local communities.

“SEB believes that these activities will train us to be more considerate and caring with our neighbours. Besides, it will also generate us a peace of mind and better life,” she said

During the function, SEB’s vice-president of Internal Audit Wan Mahmud Wan Abdullah presented the corporation’s contribution to several welfare bodies including mosques, suraus and Peryatim.
